We do not publish for trends. We publish for permanence.
Our journey began with documentary filmmaking and wining the best student film and direction award from Indian Documentary Producers Association (IDPA), Latter we produced documentaries for the Sahitya Akademi, India’s national academy of letters, on distinguished writers such as Chitra Mudgal, Vinod Kumar Shukla, and Mridula Garg. Driven by a deep appreciation for storytelling, we soon expanded our vision to produce feature and short films dedicated to exploring the richness of classical literature.
Continuing our commitment to the literary arts, we later partnered with RadioTalkies to produce an exclusive series of masterclasses. This collaborative project captured the invaluable insights of some of literature’s most respected voices, including Mamta Kalia, Asghar Wajahat, Sanjeev, Maitreyi Pushpa, Gautam Bajaj, Mridula Garg, Chitra Mudgal, Suryabala, and Alka Saraogi.

We publish books that endure.
Our vision is to build India’s most trusted independent literary publishing house, where classical depth and contemporary ambition come together to create books of lasting value. Guided by the belief that stories preserve a civilization’s memory and carry its ideas across generations, we publish works that remain rooted in India’s literary traditions while speaking to readers around the world.
Committed to original fiction, mythology, philosophy, poetry, and significant works in translation, we approach every publication with meticulous editorial care, thoughtful typography, and enduring design. Rather than following passing trends, we seek to create books that reward careful reading and continue to inspire long after they are first published. We aim to redefine the landscape of independent publishing through digital-first innovation, ensuring Indian heritage and contemporary narratives shape the future of global storytelling.
We welcome submissions from writers whose work reflects originality, literary merit, and a lasting engagement with the human experience. Our publishing programme focuses on literary fiction, mythology, philosophy, poetry, and significant works in translation.
We publish original works of literary fiction, mythology, philosophy, poetry, and carefully researched translations that reflect originality, intellectual depth, and enduring literary value. Before submitting, we encourage authors to familiarize themselves with our catalogue and publishing vision.
Publishing a book is only the beginning of its journey. At Agni Book House, we work with our authors to ensure that every title reaches its intended audience through thoughtful and sustained promotion.
As reading habits continue to evolve, Agni Book House extends its publications beyond print into e-books and audiobooks, making Indian literature accessible across multiple platforms and devices.
